I'm really a fan of Vogue. Yes, it's true. I always check their web site for the latest fashion trends. Since this blog is tagged as Fashion Trends by trendy Karen, I always make sure that I'm aware of the latest news relating to fashion and beauty.


Let's check on the Vogue Guide, entitled Putting On The Ritz. Through the words of the editor,

My Thoughts. I've always read that women view accessories as investment items. However, I've known beautiful ladies who view accessories as weapons for an elegant and sophisticated display of beauty. That means having fun in wearing accessories and investing at the same time seems the perfect thing to do.

There are many categories to choose from, but let us choose the Fall 2011 Accessories Guide Velvet and Mixed Textures. Here's the pieces that you'll definitely love.

Shrimp A La Karl With Chili Recipe

Hello everyone! I'm excited to share with you my favorite food, cooked shrimps. I've developed my own shrimp recipe by incorporating other shrimp recipes and using local ingredients. For me, seafood is the best. Here's how to prepare this.

Ingredients

You'll need fresh shrimps.

Eggplant cut into strips.

Butter.

Garlic and chili (you may use chili in powder).

Chopped tomatoes.

Chopped onions.

Salt, soy sauce and pepper to taste.

Place the fresh shrimps in the pan and allow to boil until shrimp change to orange color. Remove the cooked shrimp and set aside. You need to saute garlic, onions, tomatoes, chili and add a little salt and soy sauce. Add the butter. Then, add the cooked shrimps. Allow it to simmer for  few minutes. Add pepper to taste.

Trendy Karen loves restaurant dining with hubby and sometimes with friends. Since I believe in saving money without sacrificing value and enjoyment, I'm not choosy when it comes to dining places. However, when I've learned that we're going to visit again Cabalen Restaurant to eat native Filipino food, I was really thrilled. I've dined in the said place when the Christmas Party of the company where I worked was held. That was a memorable experience.


Cabalen Restaurant. Cabalen Restaurant is an authentic Filipino food service restaurant. The place features food from Pampanga which is the home province of many best cooks in the country. The menu of the said restaurant also include native sausages and processed meat products that are not only delicious but also enticing to food lovers and cuisine bloggers like me.They serve the best desserts and snacks too.

I like to go back there and enjoy their delicious food. Since the ambiance is nice and comfortable, friend and loved ones will surely enjoy eating in the said restaurant. In buffet style, I like having the freedom to choose my favorite food served there.

Why I like these wacky shoes. The latest designs from Kobi Levi are totally impressive. I'm sure lots of fashion enthusiasts will love these wacky shoes too.Technically, these wearable sculptors are hard to develop, but Kobi Levi was able to deliver, as always!

Is It Sarah Burton To Design Kate Middleton's Wedding Dress?

Sarah Burton is the loyal sidekick of the famous designer Alexander McQueen. The late Alexander McQueen left a striking mark in the fashion industry because of his unique and innovative designs.

So, is it Sarah Burton to design Kate Middleton's wedding dress? My words are the same with others: "I hope so." Why? I really like the ready-to-wear collection created by Sarah Burton. She was able to retain the elements introduced by Alexander McQueen in making a fabulous wedding gown, but also incorporated new techniques. Here's one of the Alexander McQueen designs which made me hope that Sarah Burton will make the wedding dress of Kate Middleton.

Why I love this? This wedding gown is awesome. The inspiring and dramatic design is fit for a princess bride. What I love most is the design of the bodice because it's makes a bride so fabulous. If Kate Middleton happens to wear something like this design, then she'll be dashing and most beautiful on her wedding to Prince William.

Fashion 21 Lip and Cheek Tint Product Review


This is the first time that I've written a beauty product review in this blog. So I've mixed feelings while writing the post. However, I just want to share my love of beauty products since I was a student. The idea of having my own lip and cheek tint dates back when I used to have lip and cheek tint from Avon. Now, I wanted to try another product of the same kind. I've visited the department store beauty section of the Robinson mall in our area lately and I've found Fashion 21 Lip and Cheek tint beauty product.

I like this product because the choices of colors is varied. Since I like red and pink hues, I opted this color of the product. Red lip and cheek tint is attractive. Before, I used to apply lavender lip and cheek tint from Avon beauty products line. This is easy to use and small wherein I can easily place in my purse. 

What I don't like of this product is that it's not highly-pigmented. The color doesn't stay for so long, like eight hours. That's why I'm always tempted to use a lipstick of the same color first and then apply the lip tint. Now, this is a fussy procedure which I don't like. 

Will I recommend this product? Yes. If you just want to add color when applying makeup, there's nothing wrong using Fashion 21 Lip and Cheek tint. It's handy and easy-to-use. 

I wanted to try other products of the Fashion 21 line, so I might have another product review soon. Since I'm very particular with comfort as I use the product, I'm happy to say that this product is safe on my Asian skin.

Recycled Shoes For Home Decor

Hi everyone! I'm inspired to share with you a post about recycled shoes for home decor. My love of trendy and beautiful shoes is evident in this post. I got these shoes in a thrift store two years ago. I was shopping then for wedding shoes. I thought of visiting our local thrift store to find inspiration when I saw the said shoes.

In order to have a reason to buy the shoes, I thought of recycling it for home decor. I had some flowery items, glue and glitters before so I started decorating the shoes. Here's what I got.
